Recertification Requirements
for Network+ (N10-009)

In the rapidly changing IT industry, you want to stay ahead of the curve. As with most highly-sought certifications, CompTIA requires that participants maintain their credentials through recertification.   The recertification process allows you to show that your skills and knowledge are current.  This is important for your skill base and provides reassurance to current and future employers.

  • RENEWAL CYCLE

The Network+ Certification expires three years from the date you successfully pass your Certification Exam and MUST be renewed before the expiration date.

If you don’t know your expiration date, login here:

  • CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS (CEUs)

How do I get CEU’s?

The Network+ certification requires 30 CEUs for renewal. The 30 CEU’s must be obtained during the three year period (prior to your expiration date). At least 50 percent of the activity content must relate to one or more of the Network+ exam objectives.

You can earn Network+ Continuing Education Units (CEUs) by obtaining an approved  non-CompTIA Certification or by attending an approved training or educational activity (earning 1 CEU for each hour of training).

Approved Non-CompTIA IT Industry Certifications

Submit the completed IT industry certification by selecting the “Earned a Non-CompTIA Certification” activity to receive CEUs.

Your submission must include a copy of the certificate, transcript or badge link issued by the certifying body and contain the following information:

  1. Your name
  2. Name of the certification
  3. Date the certification was earned or renewed

Notes on Non-CompTIA approved Certifications:

  • CE fees still apply when renewing your CompTIA certification with a non-CompTIA IT industry certification.
